Why it happens

Sparks fuse to glass.

When steel railings, stairs, beams or gates are welded or ground near installed glass, hot sparks land on the surface and fuse to it. They leave tiny pits and specks that won't wash or scrape off, and they're easy to miss until the light hits the glass at the final clean.

Across the Kansas City metro, builders put up hundreds of homes for each spring and fall Parade of Homes (KCTV5), and every one has glass installed before the metalwork is done.

FAQ

Questions we get

Can all welding spatter be removed?

Most can. Deep pitting can leave faint marks; we do a test spot and tell you honestly.

Is restoring cheaper than replacing?

Usually much cheaper and faster, with no lead time and no pulling windows out of finished trim.

Do you work on commercial jobs?

Yes. Storefront and curtain wall glass restores the same way.
