Glass restoration in Lake Quivira.
Hard water spots, scratches and haze removed from lake-house windows, doors, railings and shower glass, on site, with the glass left in place.
A private lake community with a lot of glass facing the water.
Lake Quivira began in 1928, when a dam created the lake as a planned resort town (KCUR), and the same year its country club opened (Kansas Public Radio). It became a gated, private community in 1966 and incorporated as a city in 1971. The Johnson–Wyandotte county line runs through the north end of the lake, and of about 400 homes, 17 sit on the Wyandotte side (KCUR).
The neighborhood association, Quivira Inc., dates to 1941 (KCUR). The median home is worth about $818,000 (Census ACS 2020–24). Lakefront homes put railings, decks and doors right on the water, which is exactly the glass that sees spray, splash and sun.
Lake Quivira is in WaterOne's service area (WaterOne), which reported an average hardness of 135 mg/L in 2025 (2026 Water Quality Report).

Lake Quivira questions
Can you get through the gate?
Yes. We schedule with you and arrange gate access ahead of time.
Do you restore glass railings and lake-facing doors?
Yes. Railings and doors facing the water are some of the glass we restore most at lake homes.
Do I need association approval?
We don't replace or change any glass, so the outside of your home looks the same. If you're unsure, check with Quivira Inc. before we start.
